Irene Young

 

 

"Capturing the light through watercolor and collage is my means of expressing my art, and I am constantly striving to perfect my designs. I feel that I could paint for the rest of my life and never tire of this beautiful medium." - Irene Young

Irene was born in Northern California and has been painting since early childhood. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at California State University at Hayward, California. After graduation, she had a career in graphic art.

Before moving to the city of Florence on the Oregon coast, Irene resided for ten years in Lakeport, California, a short distance from Calistoga where she took workshops with Frank Webb, Christopher Schink, Tony Couch and Kathryn Chin.

Irene Young is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, and over the past years, she has had numerous shows and won awards throughout Northern California and Oregon.
