I studied 4 years at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. It is the oldest Art School in the United States and Thomas Eakins was one of their instructors. One of my teachers was the world famous Walter Steumpfig.
I entered and sold "Christina" at the Philadelphia Art Museum Regional Show of 1959. The following year I entered the San Francisco Museum Regional Show and sold a trompe l'oeil painting to a Philadelphia collector.
I have not sold a painting since then for more than I received for those two paintings!
