Fabrics are cotton and taffeta. Acrylic and rayon thread. Technique for Lion's mane is Russian embroidery.

This piece is part of "The Alphabet Project." Twenty-six quilters each from the United States, France, and Japan (78 total) drew a letter from our alphabet, then created a small piece of art for that letter. The entire exhibit has been traveling between the three countries for nearly 2 years.
