The Siuslaw
River Bridge at Florence, Oregon, is 1,568 feet in length. It was the
first of five bridges built along the coast designed by Oregon's C.B.
McCullough who believed in engineering as art. It opened for vehicle
traffic on a Tuesday, March 31, 1936. The bridge's official dedication
was in May, 1936.
