The foreboding geological formations depicted in this photograph show the constant battle between the sea and the Oregon coast. These cliffs can be found near Shore Acres State Park, just south of Charleston. A trail leads down from the parking lot and descends rather steeply for about a quarter of a mile. The view is well worth the effort.
