All you need is love
Junk Art Sculpture (Sold)

All you need is love. ..was created out of several of my favorite things. I was especially fond of the old metal mousetrap that made up her naughty part. You don't find a lot of those. The cheese is just a Sculpty construct and an obvious lure to the unwary, a rusty screw holds the mousetrap in check. Her face was made in metal class eons ago and wanted to be used. The Kestrel wings came about because the bird sacrificed itself on my back window while I was working on her so I felt it was just meant to be. The arms and boobs are old kitchen tools intended to lure the unsuspecting victim into her lair with her domestic facilities. Her other enticements include the big red fluffy heart (from a pair of bedroom slippers), the Mr. Goodbar, and the red and white plastic stars shooting out of her purse (old bait box…another of my favorites). Her other hand displays a few of her "wins". These heads were also made of Sculpty.

Structurally, from head to toe, she is held together by a giant scoop, which along with the kestrel wings, are connected to a rather intriguing pair of kitchen grips in the back. Like the scoop, the grips are wired to the mousetrap and then welded to two, handled, metal rods from wood stove dampers. These rods are then glued into shoe forms, which are screwed and glued on to a lazy Susan so she can turn and show all of her wares…and wins. Love is as love does…what the hell ever that means.
