Greet the New Year with the free Art Walk bus tour of five local galleries. The tour begins at the FEC, 3- 5PM Jan. 14th. So grab a seat. You're in for a treat. Or you may take an itinerary and tour on your own.
First, Old Town Coffee and Gallery presents Mary Brinton with unique mixed media baskets and Painting along with other local artists.
Next Mary Beer's elegant and unusual beaded jewelry at Backstreet Gallery will impress you with its color and texture.
The Siuslaw Library lobby is filled, case and walls with the outstanding mixed media pieces of local artist members of the Florence Art and Craft Association. Inside there is also the Creche exhibit and the fabulous mixed media paintings of Katheryn Davis.
The Brush and Palette Club is showing their richly varied mixed media art at Frames of Florence.
With a peak of the ocean, Driftwood Shoes Gallery shows the impressionistic watercolors of Pat Hull.
While not on the tour, excellent art will also displayed at the Vardanian Gallery with Serop Vardanian's fine art. The Gallery Above the Silver Lining continues with mixed media art by Jane DiMuro. Eileen Landers' watercolors are at the River Gallery. Oregon Coast Tattoo and Gallery features Kylie Tezanos with oils and mixed media. The FEC Hosts the Watercolor Society of Oregon local watercolor artists and the Siulsaw Viewfinders. Marvels By the Sea is closed in January.
Enjoy refreshments along the way while you meet the artists and find out more about their art, Jan. 14th, 3-5 PM. Join the fun every second Saturday, when the Gallery association for Learning and Art - GALA- presents the Art Walk. GALA is supported by, Archives Photo Restoration, and The River Gallery, featuring affordable custom framing. This community service accepts any donations to support local art at the Silver lining. The Art Walk is led by Backstreet artist, Karen Nichols.
