Since arriving in Oregon in 1990 I've studied with a number of watercolor, collage, drawing and fiber artists. I'm currently enjoying acrylics and collage, creating both protest pieces and abstracts.

And I write poems about my work.

Collagist

She is always tearing out
                     cutting around
                     trimming off
                         images
Just open a magazine
                     an annual report or even
                     a newspaper
Holes and
gapes
   appear in
       almost every page
And the voids are smack in the center
   of the most interesting things

She saves    cats    people    flowers
        waterfalls      and     frogs
  to be paired
  joined
  superimposed upon birds
  bugs    trees    and    cats

To appreciate the end product
   concentration
   good eyes
   and of course interest
      are necessary
