Christine Polder and "Monty" on the beach at South Jetty, Florence, Oregon

Christine Polder retired from working in the area of human services and moved to Florence, Oregon in 1999. Since that time she has devoted much of her time to painting with watercolor.

She paints soft, atmospheric landcapes and floral compositions. She also enjoys painting on synthetic (Yupo) paper which lends itself to her abstract compositions. Her goal is to develop as an artist who can use the visual metaphors in a painting to touch people's feelings in a positive and moving way.
