For over a year I came into the Siuslaw River Coffee Roasters coffee house for my morning coffee and bagel and cream cheese. Often I sat at a table placed right below this window. If I craned my neck I could look up over the window sill to the Bay Street storefronts facing the river and the light. All this ended one morning when, as I got closer to take a picture, I found I was staring right at a spider hanging about in the corner of the window. He was at my eye level. I never did get that picuture! My spider phobia has not allowed me to sit at that table again and it has been almost a year since I last sat there! The spider is long gone, but the phobia persists in hanging about in my brain creating its own web of fear! Graffiti covers the lower portion of the window frame. |
